Very interesting post in the NYT by Virginia Hefferman on the metamorphosis of content. In the most cases you cannot just take 20th century content and hope it will make its way on the internet. It has to be morphed along the new lines of distribution and consumption.
But the new content may be shaped in its own way along the new lines of production. Fred Wilson points out how he writes posts in a different way using his blackberry.
A song I quickly produce with a camcorder for the use on my website or on youtube would never have had a chance to be recorded in a studio for the release on cd.
